Monthly Friends and Fellowship
Meet and Greet with your Oxford friends and family following Worship. Enjoy some good food and fellowship! This month's Friends and Fellowship will be Palm Sunday, March 24th, immediately following the Worship Service.
The Oxford Forum meets in the Parlor on Sunday mornings before Worship. Each week a guest speaker will address the group. Discussions range from all topics (current events, local history, careers, etc.). Go to the Home page of the website for a schedule of speakers.
Oxford Exercise Class
The Fellowship Hall is the perfect place for exercise; it's air conditioned, the class is free, and best of all... your Oxford friends are there to encourage you along! Class is held every Tuesday and Thursday, beginning at 5:30 P.M., and lasts about 50 minutes.
The Lunch Bunch is mainly for retired folks in our community. It rotates monthly at one of our Community Churches. Lunch is provided by the host church and followed by a guest speaker. Please join us for fellowship, good food, and good information.

Men’s Breakfast for Mother’s Day
The men of Oxford take this time to strut their stuff as they take their position in the kitchen and prepare their special breakfast for the ladies. This is a great time for family fellowship where we can work together, eat with our families, and share a laugh or two.
Worship at Lake Robertson
These summertime services are hosted by area churches for the campers at nearby Lake Robertson.
Vacation Bible School
Oxford is one of four Rockbridge County churches forming Effinger Community Bible School. Each summer our location rotates between the hosting churches.
Oxford Field Day

The Community Revival is held each Fall and is sponsored the the local Effinger Ruritan Club. Area churches are responsible for providing speakers, music, ushers, etc.
Festival of First Fruits
In November, Oxford celebrates the Festival of First Fruits. This event takes place during worship; the fruits of the earth are brought forward to the alter and the congregation brings forward their pledges and a momento to display showing their thanks to God. Following worship, the congregation is invited to attend a Thanksgiving Luncheon.
Our Thanksgiving Luncheon would not be complete without "Horace's Roast Wild Turkey", captured from the mountains behind Oxford! This takes place on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, following the worship service.
