Friends and Fellowship at Oxford . On Sunday, February 26, Oxford will host Friends and Fellowship following the worship service. This time, where we gather over light refreshments, gives us an opportunity to 'catch up' with our Oxford family. Please plan to stay a few minutes and enjoy! Oxford will also receive new members on this Sunday.

and the Mormon Temple. He will also real some secrets of human psycyic energy
and other uncommon information.
Horace is researching material in order to present "The Story Of Collierstown" on June 25, 2:30 pm for the Rockbridge Historical Society meeting at Effinger. He needs old photos of the village when it was flourishing (1830s-1930s), He has Carmen Clark's history of the Collierstown Presbyterian Church and Firmstone Dunllap's "Walk Down Memory Lane." If you have pertinent material, please lend it to Horace.
"Stop Hunger Now" event will take place at Effinger on Saturday morning, April 22.
Oxford, Collierstown Pres. and Collierstown Methodist and Mt Horeb Methodist are the sponsoring churches.
The dates for Vacation Bible School at Mt. Horeb have been tentatively set for June 11-16th. Anyone interested in helping in any way is asked to contact Kari.
The Rockbridge Area Hospice is offering a “Grief to Growth Support Group” for 8 weeks, beginning January 31 at the Maury River Senior Center in Buena Vista. Please call 463-1848 or 261-7474 for time and more information.
On the first Sunday of each month Oxford Church collects the 4 Cents A Meal Offering. This offering supports two local needs: the Community Table which offers a free-will offering meal every week at the RARA building located next to the hospital, and the local Food Pantry for purchase of food items to stock their shelves. Oxford also accepts donations of food and personal items for the Food Pantry. For March the Food Pantry requests donations of canned chili or stew.
Altar flowers add so much to the beauty of Oxford's sanctuary. If you would like to provide an arrangement for a Sunday, a sign-up sheet is available in the vestibule or you may contact Sunny.
The Oxford Session has established a Pastor's Discretionary Fund which the pastor can use as he deems necessary to help individuals in desperate need. This will be funded by donations only. If you would like to contribute to this fund please write the check to Oxford Presbyterian Church and write "Pastor's Discretionary Fund" in the memo.
