On the first Sunday of each month Oxford Church collects the 4 Cents A Meal Offering. This offering supports two local needs: the Community Table which offers a free-will offering meal every week at the RARA building located next to the hospital, and the local Food Pantry for purchase of food items to stock their shelves. Oxford also accepts donations of food and personal items for the Food Pantry. For September we request donations of ricel.
The Oxford Session has established a Pastor's Discretionary Fund which the pastor can use as he deems necessary to help individuals in desperate need. This will be funded by donations only. If you would like to contribute to this fund please write the check to Oxford Presbyterian Church and write "Pastor's Discretionary Fund" in the memo.
There are copies of "Celebrate Effinger 1922-2010" by Clinton Anderson still available. Contact Evelyn Ayers.
The Oxford website contains a calendar with Oxford Happenings, community events and birthdays of Oxford’s members. If you do not want your name to be listed on the date of your birthday (month and day only) please contact Susan or Rusty Keith.
If you happen to take any pictures at Oxford events please share them with the website editorial team so the pictures may be used on the Oxford website!
