There will be a Congregational meeting at the close of the worship service on Sunday, November 27, 2016 for the purpose of nominating and electing two members of the congregation to the Nominating Committee. The Session has appointed the following elders to also serve on this committee: Bobby Black, Buzz Birzenieks, Kathy Ruffin, and Rufus Tyree. The task of the Nominating Committee is to nominate 4 members of the congregation to serve as elders, Class of 2019.
Western State Hospital has asked Oxford Women to adopt Nelson M. for Christmas. There is a list of requested inexpensive gifts in the Narthex and a basket for the gifts. The gifts should not be wrapped and need to be in the basket by Dec. 4th so that they can be delivered by Dec 5th. If you have any questions see Marty. Thank you for participating.
Our special Thanksgiving Offering for Presbyterian Children’s' Homes will be received Sunday morning, November 27.

December 11 - Melissa Greer will describe her recent visit to Chauvet Cave in France, where ancient art has been discovered.
December 18 - Jim and Kris Greiner talk about their past experiences and how they came to live here.
We celebrated our popular Festival of First Fruits on Thanksgiving Sunday, Nov. 20. This is such a meaningful service of thanks! After the service, an abundant Oxford dinner was served, including Horace's roast wild turkey. We hope that you will join us again next year !! Bring your friends.
On the first Sunday of each month Oxford Church collects the 4 Cents A Meal Offering. This offering supports two local needs: the Community Table which offers a free-will offering meal every week at the RARA building located next to the hospital, and the local Food Pantry for purchase of food items to stock their shelves. Oxford also accepts donations of food and personal items for the Food Pantry. For November we request donations of canned vegetables.
The Children’s Christmas Program will be presented during the Oxford worship service on December 18.
There will be a Congregational Meeting at Oxford on December 11. The purpose of this meeting is to elect four elders to the Session, class of 2019.
Come join with the Collierstown Presbyterian Church for a cheerful Carol Sing at 4 pm. on Sunday, Dec. 11. Heavy refreshments will be provided afterward by the host church.
Reminder! As we near the end of the year please take a moment to see if your 2016 Oxford pledge is up to date. If you are not sure, Oxford’s receiving treasurer, Monica Rexrode, would be glad to let you know if your pledge is current.
The Oxford Session has established a Pastor's Discretionary Fund which the pastor can use as he deems necessary to help individuals in desperate need. This will be funded by donations only. If you would like to contribute to this fund please write the check to Oxford Presbyterian Church and write "Pastor's Discretionary Fund" in the memo.
