Oyster Supper January 24th
Oxford Oyster Supper !! Seventy folks of all ages braved the frigid weather to attend the Annual Oxford Oyster Supper on Friday evening, January 24. The oysters were delicious as were the carry-in dishes that everyone brought. We'll do this again next year!!
The Community Lunch Bunch will meet at Oxford on Friday, March 14 at 11:30 AM. Following the lunch, which is provided by Oxford Church, Area Extension Agent, Tom Stanley will discuss " Rockbridge Agriculture: Past, Present, Future".
On the first Sunday of each month Oxford Church collects the 4 Cents A Meal Offering. This offering supports two local needs: the Community Table which offers a free-will offering meal every week at the RARA building located next to the hospital, and the local Food Pantry for purchase of food items to stock their shelves. Oxford also accepts donations of food items for the Food Pantry. For March the Food Pantry requests donations of peanut better and jelly.
The Oxford Session has established a Pastor's Discretionary Fund which the pastor can use as he deems necessary to help individuals in desperate need. This will be funded by donations only. If you would like to contribute to this fund please write the check to Oxford Presbyterian Church and write "Pastor's Discretionary Fund" in the memo.
